Lutheran High School South educates for excellence in a Christ-centered environment, preparing students for leadership in service to the church, the home and the world.
Since 1957, Lutheran High School South has been preparing students for future success in college, career and life. We are a co-educational, private, Christian high school serving 480 students in grades 9 through 12 who live in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and the surrounding areas.
Three main principles guide our program of comprehensive education:
Academic Excellence Christian Community Leadership in Service
Each student is treated as unique, blessed with gifts and talents waiting to be nurtured and used to His glory. Our Christ-centered environment and challenging college prep curriculum not only nurtures academic excellence, but prepare each student for a life anchored in faith in Christ and dedicated to service in His name. Our courses are taught from a Lutheran Christian perspective, with faculty members serving not only as teachers, but also as coaches, sponsors, mentors, encouragers and friends to our students.
As a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS), Lutheran High School South believes, teaches, and confesses the unchanging truth of Holy Scripture as described in the Lutheran Confessions and the belief and practice of the LCMS.
