Academic Excellence

Prepared: Academic Excellence

At Lutheran South, we help you set goals, both personal and academic, that will help prepare you for college and Christian leadership throughout your life. We will help you challenge yourself through our college prep coursework and our FlexMod schedule.

In our FLEXMOD SCHEDULE, the instructional day is divided into modules or MODS. You’ll learn in Large Group, Laboratory and Small Group settings. Teacher-designed instructional time and student-independent learning time are the flexible, or “Flex,” part of creating a FlexMod schedule. This flexibility provides opportunities for you to receive the additional teacher contact time, group project time or individual study time you may need during the school day. The FlexMod schedule also gives you the opportunity to develop organizational and time management skills you will need to be successful at the university level.

I'm so glad that South prepared me for the collegiate environment. I came into Truman State with almost two full semesters of completed coursework thanks to my 1818 courses and AP test results. Truman was very gracious to transfer and accept all 27 of those credits which put me ahead of my class for registration and graduation.
