During his time at Lutheran South, Keenan McBurney earned a perfect 4.0 GPA every semester. He was the Salutatorian for the Class of 2016, and is now pursuing a double major in architectural and civil engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. Yet outstanding academics are just the beginning of his high school experience.
“The classes I took and organizations and teams I was part of not only helped teach me the necessary course materials, but also other life skills which I will need for my future,” Keenan said. Among the life skills are “good time management, leadership, organization, how to work with others as a team, patience, and much more.”
Keenan was a Varsity Tennis Team athlete, Jazz Band Pianist, Wind Symphony tuba player, KAIROS leader, Mentor, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society member, and member of the Math Team, Academic Team, and Comic Club.
“I’m so thankful to all the faculty and students at Lutheran South who have helped me become the person I am today,” Keenan said. “It’s been a great four years!”
